General RV Center recently made Crain’s list of the Fastest Growing Companies! We are extremely proud to have joined this list with other well known Michigan based companies, such as; Quicken Loans, BorgWarner, and General Motors.
Crain’s compiled their list by first calculating the revenue growth in a dollar amoount over the three year period from 2009-2012. Next, they calculated percentage growth over that same time period. The two rankings were then added together to generate the list. The lower the combined number, the higher the company’s final rank was.
General RV “checked in” with a 102% increase in revenue during this time period. That’s right, we doubled our business during the economic downturn by providing our customers with the best product and the best experience anywhere in a dealership today. We also added four new stores during this time period outside of the state of Michigan (which was hit harder than most by the downturn). These four stores have been responsible for 20-30% growth rates each year they have been open. Despite opening these new stores, we never forgot the people and markets here in Michigan that are the core of our company.
Needless to say we will be here for many years to come. We hope to not only serve you, but your children, and grandchildren as well. After all, we are a family owned and operated business, and we want to deliver camping fun to your family for decades!
